My name is James Haney. I am a Vietnam era veteran. I have been doing photography since I was a teenager but in the past two years I have used photography as a therapy to help sooth years of stress and trauma from life’s lessons. The next step after taking the photos was to show my work in public. I have shown my work at the Marlborough Art Center, Amos Bull house in Hartford, Open Studio Hartford, Wethersfield Art Market, and Art in the Park in Manchester. I have entered photos in the Connecticut state competition for the Veteran’s Administration for the last two years. I belong to the  the Simsbury Camera Club. I have won several ribbons in those years for some of my work but more importantly I have learned different techniques to take my photography to the next level.
Photography has become an important tool in my therapy and hope to continue it for many years to come.
